AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITY CLUB

Tuesday 1st October 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,

It was very disappointing when we were informed that EnergyKidz would no longer be able to provide us with breakfast and after school provision. The Breakfast Club was quickly sorted with Pacesetters stepping in and offering an alternative for a cheaper price. Unfortunately, the after school provision has been more difficult to replace due to the low numbers of parents needing it.

However, determined to support the parents using the facilities on offer and after looking at the high number of positive responses on our ParentMail questionnaire, we have managed to offer a solution to the problem.

I am really pleased to inform you that from the 4th November we will be able to offer after school provision through our extracurricular clubs. Our Activity Club will run from 3.30pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday. The cost will be £7.50 per child for the session and must be paid in advance. The price is based on a no profit rate for the school. It is purely to pay for staff and resources for the club. Obviously, the more parents that use the club the lower the price per child. I therefore, ask for your support in using the club to ensure that it is viable for the school. Children will be encouraged to bring a small healthy snack and drink, as there will be no food provided.

The club will be very informal and provide a range of activities similar to the current Breakfast Club. The children will also have an opportunity to complete homework, practise spellings and read to an adult if parents request this. Places will be limited to 20 children per evening due to staff ratios.

Please look out for the ParentMail titled ‘Activity Club’, that will be sent out shortly, which will enable you to book and pay for your sessions.

This is a new ParentMail system for the school office so please can I ask for your patience and understanding whilst we iron out any anomalies that may arise during the initial setting up period.

Kind regards,
